Peskov: Russia not pressing on Ukraine in matter of eurointegration

MOSCOW, February 05, /ITAR-TASS/. Russia cannot press and is not pressing on Ukraine in the matter of eurointegration, Dmitry Peskov, the Russian president’s press secretary, said in the broadcast of radio Kommersant FM on Wednesday.

“Russia proposes to Ukraine a set of instruments of cooperation, including investment cooperation, exchange of assets, loans for major specific projects, development of joint ventures, and so on,” Peskov said.

“The Ukrainians have the opportunity to compare what the Russian side offers and what the EU does. And it is for them to choose what proportions in the vectors of the development their country will have. And Moscow is unable to influence this,” the press secretary added.

“Russia is interested in partnership and cooperation [with Ukraine], just as Ukraine is interested in partnership and cooperation with Russia,” Peskov said.
