MOSCOW, February 05. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia continues to deliver various relief supplies to Syrians “who suffer from hardships of domestic armed conflict,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.
“I refer to doing so for people in need in Syria and Syrian refugees in neighboring countries,” the country’s diplomatic agency noted.
Two Russian emergency airplanes Il-76 have delivered more than 52 tons of relief supplies to the Syrian city of Latakia on Tuesday. “There are tents, blankets, kitchen utensils, foodstuffs and other necessities,” the ministry recalled. “Permanently living in Syria there are 15 Russian citizens and members of their families as well as citizens of several CIS countries, who wanted to leave Syria for security reasons, arrived in Moscow by a return flight,” the country’s Foreign Ministry noted.
