MOSCOW, January 29, 7:09 /ITAR-TASS/. Oleg Ostapenko, Director of Roscosmos (Russia's Federal Space Agency), is to hold this year's first conference at the cosmodrome Vostochy (eastern) on Wednesday to discuss the construction of its facilities.
According to Ostapenko, such sessions will be held regularly -- once in 1.5-2 months,
The Roscosmos chief told journalists on Tuesday, "I shall leave for the Vostochny by air on Wednesday morning. Over there, we shall hold a session on the construction of the cosmodrome's facilities".
Spaceport Vostochny has been under construction in Amur Region, in proximity to Uglegorsk Township since the middle of 2012. Roscosmos plans have it that the first launch (of a space rocket0 from the new site is to be effected in 2015. The first manned spaceship launch is slated for 2018.
