KEMEROVO, January 26, 9:29 /ITAR-TASS/. Seven coalmines were left without power supplies due to power outages on Belovo-Novo-Leninskaya high voltage line in Russian Urals’ Kemerovo region, the regional emergency situation department told Itar-Tass on Sunday.
“The November 7 coalmine, coalmines Kostromskaya, Alekseyevskaya, Zarechnaya, Komsomolets, Kirov and Baikaimskaya were cut from power supplies. A total of 1,115 miners are being evacuated from the coalmines,” the emergencies department noted.
Power utility workers are working on the damaged high voltage line. No people were hurt in the incident.
According to the Siberian regional emergency situation centre, main ventilation systems went out of operation. The reason of power outage could be a broken high voltage line.
