Russian, Palestinian FMs sign agreement on cooperation in customs, healthcare

MOSCOW, January 24. /ITAR-TASS/. Foreign Ministers of Russia and Palestine, Sergei Lavrov and Riyad al-Maliki, have signed three documents - on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs affairs, on cooperation between the interior ministries and a memorandum on mutual understanding between the healthcare ministries.

“It is very important that the talks with the Palestinian delegation led by President Mahmoud Abbas resulted in coordinating a mechanism, which would facilitate the expansion of economic and investment relations,” Lavrov said.

A high-level group will be created, the minister added.

“There are several projects that experts should coordinate. They are related to the construction sphere. There are certain proposals in agriculture what realization will meet the interests of Palestinian manufacturers,” Lavrov said.
