MOSCOW, January 24. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia says the European Union is not ready to take a political decision on signing a deal to ease visa formalities and cancel visas with Russia, Russia permanent representative to the EU Vladimir Chizhov told a news conference on Friday.
“These topics were in the focus of a session of the Russia-EU Permanent Partnership Council for Freedom, Security and Justice that was held in Moscow last week. We’ve drawn a conclusion: the EU is not ready for political decisions on these issues,” Chizhov said.
“This disappoints us,” he added.
