MOSCOW, January 24. /ITAR-TASS/. Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Maliki praised Russia’s efforts to resolve key international issues, primarily the Syrian and Palestinian-Israeli ones.
“The Russian leadership achieved progress in foreign policy, particularly in eliminating chemical weapons in Syria and holding the Geneva conferences,” Al-Maliki said after talks with Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Friday.
“I believe that Russia can continue contribution to such important problem as the Palestinian settlement. The Palestinian leadership seeks to continue relations with Russia in this aspect,” the Palestinian minister said.
The Palestinian delegation’s visit is being held in a very important moment. “Six months ago Palestine and Israel started direct talks,” he added.
