SOCHI, January 24. /ITAR-TASS/. The area of the Black Sea off the resort city of Sochi is closed for anchorage and sailing of small vessels, fishing ships and amusement yachts except for vessels of special and emergency services to ensure security of the Winter Olympics.
The restriction embraces a section of the coast from the mouths of rivers Psou in Adler District to Loo in Lazarevskoye and 12 nautical miles (22.2 kilometres) deep in the sea from the coastal line of the resort city, the press service of the border department of the Federal Security Service in Krasnodar Territory told Itar-Tass on Friday.
The border department noted that the restriction would not spread on sea-going cruisers that would accommodate participants in the Olympics.
The maritime area off Sochi will be closed for sailing until March 21.
