Head of Northern Shipyard detained on suspicion of fraud

The investigators continue working on the case and on finding other possible criminal episodes involving the culprit

MOSCOW, January 24. /ITAR-TASS/. Head of St. Petersburg’s Northern Shipyard was detained on suspicion of swindle.

St. Petersburg’s branch of Russia’s Investigative Committee reports director general of the Northern Shipyard, Alexander Ushakov, 63, was detained under a criminal case on swindle.

“The investigation says, in 2012 Ushakov having a purpose of stealing money from his organisation, came into an agreement with a commercial company on legal and consultation services related with claiming decision of a tax authority, which have never been offered. However, the money over 38 million rubles was transferred to the company, thus having caused damaged to the shipyard,” the investigative committee says.

The investigators continue working on the case and on finding other possible criminal episodes involving the culprit.
