Sverdlovsk regional parliament vice-speaker's apartments searched by investigators

YEKATERINBURG, January 24. /ITAR-TASS/. Investigators on Friday searched apartments of the Sverdlovsk regional parliament's Vice-Speaker Georgy Persky, a deputy from A Just Russia party.

A law enforcement source in the region confirmed the information to Itar-Tass.

The searches were conducted by the investigative department in connection with a criminal case.

Alexander Shulga, a senior aide of the chief of the Russian Investigative Committee's Sverdlovsk regional department, said that no charges had been brought against anybody so far. Computers and computer equipment were seized for examination of experts, he said.

The investigative department conducts the searches with assistance of the regional departments of the Federal Security Service and the Russian Interior Ministry.

All actions are taken to establish circumstances of the committed crimes and receive evidence.
