MOSCOW, January 24. /ITAR-TASS/. The police in the Voronezh region stopped a 100-kilogram shipment of heroin, brought from the Middle East.
The Interior Ministry’s press service reports criminals planned to sell the drugs in the Moscow region. The police detained a suspect — a resident of the Stavropol region.
The 47-year-old man was detained at the 520th kilometer of the Don federal highway at a traffic police station.
A criminal case on drug trafficking was filed.
“The price of the confiscated drug is about 145 million rubles (about $4.3 million) on the black market,” the police said.
Police is searching for other criminals involved in the organization of the illegal turnover of drugs.
