Russia intends to continue humanitarian contribution to Syrian population - FM

MOSCOW, January 22. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia intends to continue humanitarian contribution to the Syrian population that experiences the hardships of the armed conflict, the Foreign Ministry reported on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, January 21, an aircraft of the Emergency Situations Ministry delivered humanitarian aid to Beirut, Lebanon, for refugees from Syria. “Over 33 tons of humanitarian aid (mobile power stations, tents, cloths, dishes and oil radiators) were delivered to Syrian refugees, who are currently on the territory of Lebanon,” the ministry said.

“Such aid is in demand due to the cold winter that came in the region,” it said, adding “Russia will assist to displaced persons in Syria and to refugees from neighboring countries."
