MOSCOW, January 21.ITAR-TASS/. Completion of the first and main stage of Russia's Defense Ministry real estate inventory has revealed 13,673 previously unaccounted assets, a deputy defense minister told a ministry board meeting on Tuesday.
“Analysis of the practice unfortunately showed its low efficiency - the absence of a unified register of real estate assets, low returns from their alienation and sale and a high corruption level which inflicted serious damage upon the armed forces’ image,” Ruslan Tsalikov said.
The inventory took place on instructions from Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
