Russian-Chinese relations were developing dynamically in all areas - Lavrov

MOSCOW, January 21. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said cooperation between Moscow and Beijing in 2013 became an important factor in balancing international relations.

"Russian-Chinese relations were developing dynamically in all areas," Lavrov said at a news conference on Tuesday which summed up the last year results of Russian diplomacy's work. "Moscow-Beijing cooperation in the key problems of the modern world, including within the framework of UN, BRICS, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization became an important factor in ensuring a balanced nature of international relations."

As for Russia's deeper integration in the Asian-Pacific region, Lavrov noted that it is "our national priority for the whole 21st century."

The Russian diplomat added that in 2013, Russia strengthened cooperation with India and Vietnam.

"A new impulse was given to relations with ASEAN countries, varied cooperation with Japan, South Korea and other states in the region," he said.

Lavrov also noted growing cooperation with Latin American and African countries and their integration associations.
