Putin to visit Tula-based enterprise for developing systems of high-accuracy weapons

MOSCOW, January 20, /ITAR-TASS/. Russia's President Vladimir Putin will tour Tula Region on Monday to familiarize himself with the operation and new specimens of the output of the OAO (public joint-stock company) "Instrument-Making Design Bureau" -- the country's defence-industry organization for developing high-accuracy weapon systems, the Kremlin presss service reported early Monday.

The Head of State will also hold a conference on the theme of "Th Activities of the Advanced Research Foundation".

Vice-Premier Dmitry Rogozin, Andrei Fursenko, Assistant to the RF President, Vladimir Fortov, president of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Federal ministers and executives of state corporations will take part in the conference.

The Advanced Research Foundation was established in 2012 with a view to promoting research and development efforts in the defence interests of the country, and achieving qualitatively new results in the technical military sphere, and in practical applications of innovative scientific and technological ideas.
