Putin visits a defense plant in Tula to see the latest models of high-precision weapons

MOSCOW, January 19, /ITAR-TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit the Tula-based weapons maker KBP Instrument Design Bureau on January 20 to see new models of high-precision weapons, the Kremlin press service reports.

Putin will discuss the activities of the Fund for prospective studies at a meeting to be attended by Vice-Premier Dmitry Rogozin; presidential aide Sergei Fursenko; President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladimir Fortov, federal ministers and the heads of state corporations.

The Fund for prospective studies was created in 2012 with an aim to promote scientific research and developments in the interests of Russian defense, achieve quality results in military-technological sphere and apply innovative scientific-technological ideas.
