MOSCOW, January 16, /ITAR-TASS/. The Russian President’s special representative for the Middle East and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikhail Bogdanov, and the delegation of the Kurdish National Council of Syria discussed matters of convening Geneva -2 international conference on Syria, the Russian Foreign Ministry reports.
“The developments in Syria and around it were discussed with the emphasis on the need for a political settlement of the Syrian crisis through a broad-based inter-Syrian dialogue in the interests of all groups of Syrian society. Matters of convening Geneva-2 international conference for these purposes on January 22 were also discussed,” the ministry noted.
