Government submits bill to recompense expenses for retirees moving from Far North

MOSCOW, January 09. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s government has submitted a draft law to the State Duma, lower house of parliament, to recompense expenses for retirees while they move from the Far North.

The draft law has been worked out in circumvention of the Russian Constitutional Court resolution of May 14, 2013.

Under the draft law, expenses will be recompensed owing to inter-budget transfers, which are provided to the Russian Pension Fund from the federal budget. They will be given to persons, “who receive labour pensions or pensions to those who do not work under labour contracts, civil contracts and author’s contracts and to those who do not carry out other activities in the period they are liable to obligatory pension insurance and dependent family members”.

An amendment is made to the law “On State Guarantees and Compensations for Persons Working and Living in the Far North” to give the right to non-workers to recompense expenses in order to pay passage to a new place of residence and transport luggage in the procedure, size and under the conditions established by the Russian government.
