Russian authorities to examine state policy coverage abroad

MOSCOW, January 09. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev gave an instruction to assess the information policy regarding coverage of state policy and public life in Russia in foreign countries. The instruction to this effect was posted at the official website of the country’s Cabinet, where the full list of instructions to the government to fulfill the presidential state-of-the-nation address to the Federal Assembly is placed.

The prime minister’s instruction is given to the leadership of the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media and the Culture Ministry, which will work on the instruction together with the head of the presidential staff and the country’s Security Council.

At the same time, Medvedev instructed “to develop the scope of measures for well-orchestrated activity in this sphere, proceeding from the need of the protection of traditional values and humanistic views.”

The deadline is set for the instruction to be fulfilled until March 17, 2014.
