The CTO regime has been introduced in connection with the fact that four VAZ cars with five dead bodies with gunshot wounds were found, in two populated areas of Kirovsky and Predgorny Districts of the ST, a source at the ST operations headquarters (OHQ) told Itar-Tass.
An improvised explosive device (IED) went off near one of the cars. Noone was hurt. "Another discovered IED was destroyed by a manipulator robot," the OHQ source added.
The OHQ leadership "has issued an order to alert operation groups" and "a decision has been made to hold a special meeting of the OHQ".
"In view of a possible terrorist threat, interaction has been arranged between the OHQ and operations headquarters in the constituent entities of the North Caucasian and Southern Federal Districts," the OHQ source said.
"The OHQ is taking necessary measures. A group of law enforcement organizaions and state administration bodies has been urgently set up to implement these measures," the source emphasized.
