MOSCOW, January 08, 13:35 /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has approved the list of 1,007 organizations which will be transferred to the Federal Agency for Scientific Organizations, the cabinet's website said.
FASO will be in charge of federal state organizations which were under the jurisdiction of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences and the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
Under the resolution, FASO will have functions and powers as the owner of the federal property of the organizations and as their founder.
The decision is aimed at improving work efficiency of the organizations, and it is one of the steps to implement the law on the RAS reorganization, the document explained.
