VOLGOGRAD, December 31. /ITAR-TASS/. Volgograd trolleybus driver Sergei Boronin, at the wheel when the terrorist bomb exploded aboard on Monday, is in intensive care in hospital, city authorities told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.
The 43-year-old may be transferred to an ordinary ward in the course of the day, officials said, adding that he had undergone surgery for a head wound and was not allowed to speak to anyone.
Boronin was injured in the second of two explosions in the city within 24 hours, the first striking the central railway station. Latest reports say the incidents killed 33 and injured more than 70.
