64 people wounded in Volgograd terrorist acts treated at clinics in Moscow, Volgograd

MOSCOW, December 30. /ITAR-TASS/. Sixty-four people wounded in the recent two terrorist acts in the southern Russian city of Volgograd are being treated at the hospitals in Moscow and Volgograd, the press service of the Russian Health Ministry reported on Monday.

“Thirty people wounded in the terrorist act on December 29 are being cured at the state hospitals in the city of Volgograd. Six of them are in an extremely heavy condition, other six wounded people are in a heavy condition, four people are in a moderately heavy condition, 14 wounded people are in a satisfactory condition,” the press service said. Seven wounded people are being treated in Moscow, including one person in a grave condition at the Priorov clinic of traumatology and orthopaedics, two wounded people in a moderately heavy condition at the Vishnevsky surgery clinic, two wounded people in a moderately heavy condition at the Burdenko neurosurgery clinic, one wounded person in a grave condition in the Pirogov national surgery centre and one injured teenager in a grave condition at the Speransky children’s city hospital number nine, the ministry’s press service said.

“A total of 62 people were affected in a suicide bombing at the railway station, 30 of them are being treated at the hospitals in the city of Volgograd, three people refused from being taken to the hospital, seven people were airlifted to Moscow, the outpatient aid was given to five hurt people, three people died at the hospital, 14 people died at the blast site,” the press service said.

According to preliminary reports of the Health Ministry, 41 people were hurt in a bomb attack in a trolleybus on December 30. “Three people died during the medical evacuation, 11 people were killed at the explosion site,” the press service noted.

“Three patients (including a child in an extremely grave condition, two teenagers in a satisfactory condition) are being treated at the Volgograd hospital number seven, one person in a moderately grave condition — at the city hospital number 12, 16 people (eight in a heavy condition, seven in a moderately grave condition and one person in an extremely grave condition) are being cured at the city hospital number 25. Six wounded people (including five people in a moderately grave condition and one person in a heavy condition) — at a branch of the military hospital, one person in a moderately grave condition is being treated at the Russian Railways hospital in the city of Volgograd,” the Health Ministry reported.
