MOSCOW, December 30, 3:19 /ITAR-TASS/. In Moscow Region, armed robbers attacked cash-in-transit guards, killing one of them and wounding the other one. A source in law enforcement agencies told Itar-Tass that the attackers seized 12 million roubles.
The incident occured on Sunday night in the grounds of the Mega Belaya Dacha shopping center in Lyubertsy District.
The criminals wounded two cash-in-transit guards, took the money away and fled in a car. One of the wounded died on the spot and the other one was hospitalized in a serious condition. According to some data, the attack was made on the cash-in-transit guards of the Moscow Credit Bank.
The attackers fired from a submachine-gun and a pistol at the cash-in-transit guard when the latters were leaving the shopping center.
An Intercept plan has been declared in Moscow city and region to apprehend the armed robbers.
