MAKHACHKALA, December 26, /ITAR-TASS/. Law enforcers have killed a gunmen in a rural settlement in the North Caucasian Republic of Dagestan where the anti-terrorism operation regime was imposed late on Thursday, a spokesman for the Dagestan department of the Russian Investigations Committee told Itar-Tass.
“The gunmen, who had been blocked in a private house in the settlement of the Gereikhanov state farm, was killed in exchange of fire with law enforcers,” the spokesman said. “The man was identified as Madrid Babakhanov, 37. The policemen were not hurt.”
The anti-terrorism operation regime was imposed in the settlement at 21:40 Moscow time.
