MOSCOW, December 26. /ITAR-TASS/. A transport An-12 plane crashed near Russia’s Siberian Irkutsk region, killing all of its six crew members, a source in the local police told Itar-Tass on Thursday.

“The plane was making a flight from Novosibirsk to the Irkutsk aircraft-building plant,” the source said, adding that the plane was owned by the aircraft sector.

The plane crashed near the territory of an army unit near the Batareinaya station of the East Siberian Railway at about 21:30 local time (12:30 GMT), a spokesman for the regional emergencies department told Itar-Tass. No casualties from among the servicemen have been reported.
