MOSCOW, December 24, 0:02 /ITAR-TASS/. The court of jury found the guilt of prominent plastic surgeon Vladimir Tapia of paedophilia unproved, Ulyana Solopova, the spokesperson for the Moscow City Court, told ITAR-TASS on Monday.
The jury acquitted him in this criminal case. Fernandes was freed in the courtroom.
According to investigators, Tapia Fernandes, from 2002-2011, “using parental authority and taking advantage of moral immaturity and trust of his son and daughter, abused them sexually repeatedly.”
The plastic surgeon was accused of 44 instances of molestation of his son and daughter, and faced up to 20 years of the deprivation of freedom.
The trial was held in camera as his underage children were the injured party in the case.
