MOSCOW, December 23, 21:51 /ITAR-TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has presented profound condolences to the relatives and family of the deceased Russian small arms designer Mikhail Kalashnikov, the presidential press service reports.
Kalashnikov died in Izhevsk, the capital of the Udmurt Republic, at the age of 94 on Monday.
The funeral date will be agreed with Kalashnikov’s relatives, Denis Loginov, the deputy administration chief of the president and government of the Udmurt Republic, told Itar-Tass.
Kalashnikov’s son Viktor told Itar-Tass by telephone that the question of the funeral had not yet been raised.
Mikhail Kalashnikov died on December 23 after a long illness.
