Russian Foreign Ministry will not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries

MOSCOW, December 23 (Itar -Tass) - Russia and its Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries by appearing at rallies, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Monday, commenting on proposal made by LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky at a meeting of the Russian State Council.

In his speech, Zhirinovsky mentioned the recent rallies in Ukraine and Hamburg. We can see how the German foreign minister is walking on ‘Maidan’. But where is our Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov? It’s high time that our politicians get out of their offices and go to the same ‘Maidan’ to protect the national interests of our country,” Zhirinovsky said.

“Our foreign minister is a cultured person. We do not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries - be it the Federative Republic of Germany or Ukraine,” Putin replied to Zhirinovsky.
