Plane with 40 passengers onboard makes emergency landing in Naryan-Mar

ARKHANGELSK, December 21, (ITAR-TASS). An ATR-42 plane owned by Nordavia regional air carrier has made an emergency landing in Naryan-Mar airport in the Nenets Autonomous District, northern Arctic Russia. No casualties were reported, the regions’ emergencies ministry department told Itar-Tass.

The plane that left Naryan-Mar at 09:52 Moscow time en route to Arkhangesk returned to the airport of departure over engine failures and successfully landed at 10:40 Moscow time.

There were 40 passengers onboard, including three children and four crewmembers.

An investigation is underway.
