MOSCOW, December 20, 4:40 /ITAR-TASS/. The man suspected of murder of film actor Vyacheslav Titov has confessed to the crime, an Investigative Committee official told Itar-Tass on Thursday.
"The suspect, identified as David Zaseyev, 23, hit Titov on the head with an unidentified object, put a bag on his head and strangled him with a belt overnight from December 28 to December 29, 2011. The murder was committed in the actor's apartment in Novorogozhskaya Street in Moscow," the official said, adding that Zaseyev was guided by "personal motives."
The suspect was detained in Vladikavkaz on Wednesday.
"Zaseyev has been convoyed to Moscow. During a questioning, he confessed to the murder of Vyasheslav Titov," the SK said.
Titov was born in Tula in 1971. A Mayakovski Theatre actor since the middle of the 1990s, he filmed in several popular TV series.
