WARSAW, December 19. /ITAR-TASS/. The development of economic partnership is in the interests of Russia and Poland, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Thursday following negotiations with the Polish counterpart Radoslaw Sikorski.
“The result of our work is the signing of the 20-20 program,” Lavrov said. “In the Russia-Poland relations it is the first document of the kind.”
Russia and Poland “have been paying much attention to improvement of the economic partnership.”
“Development of cooperation in this sphere is in the interests of our countries,” he said.
“We have agreed to form a favorable business climate for Polish companies in Russia and for Russian companies in Poland,” Lavrov said. “Development and improvement of the trade turnover’s structure, stimulation of joint ventures, especially those based on advanced technologies, development of cooperation between small and medium businesses.”
Besides, Russia and Poland “have agreed to continue developing and improvement of cooperation in the framework of the UN, OSCE, at the European Council in the framework of relations between Russia and the European Union, as well as to raise effectiveness and trust in the framework of the Russia-NATO Council,” Lavrov said.
