Lavrov: European Parliament too strenuous to force into creating own “Magnitsky List”

"There is no one who would be ideal in human rights," Russia's Foreign Minister said

MOSCOW, December 18./ITAR-TASS/. The European Parliament is too strenuous to force into creating its own “Magnitsky List” and trying to teach democracy, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at the Federation Council, upper house of parliament, on Wednesday.

“We face most complexities in our relations with European at the level of Parliament. It’s the European Parliament that is taking several other decisions to teach Russia democracy. It is done aggressively and not through mutually respectful dialogue,” the minister said.

“There is no one who would be ideal in human rights. We talked about it in detail in Brussels at the ministerial meeting on December 16,” he said.
