MOSCOW, December 17. /ITAR-TASS/. A Kamov Ka-226 helicopter has made an emergency landing in Russia’s Bashkortostan Republic on Tuesday. There have been no casualties, RF Defense Ministry spokesman, Colonel Igor Klimov told Itar-Tass.
“During the ferry flight from the manufacturing plant in Kumertau (Bashkortostan) to Kryak airfield (Samara city) smoke appeared in the Ka-226 helicopter cabin. The crew commander took the decision to make an emergency landing in the field,” he said.
“The helicopter landed 60 kilometres from the town of Kumertau,” Klimov added.
