Russia’s Strategic Missile Troops to recruit 4,000 contract servicemen in 2014

VLASIKHA, December 17. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s Strategic Missile Troops will recruit over 4,000 servicemen on a contract basis next year, the troops’ commander, Colonel General Sergei Karakayev said on Tuesday.

“This year the Strategic Missile Troops enlisted over 5,500 people on a contract basis, including 1,200 conscripts. The measures taken helped to increase a share of contract servicemen by over 50% since the beginning of the year. Efforts in this direction will be continued in 2014,” he said.
