BEIJING, December 16, 14:50 /ITAR-TASS/. Russian-Chinese cooperation has reached an essentially new level on the whole scope of international problems, including the law enforcement sphere, visiting Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev said at a meeting with Chinese Minister of Public Security Guo Shengkun in the Chinese capital on Monday.
“Russian-Chinese cooperation on the whole scope of pressing international and regional problems, particularly in the law enforcement, has reached an essentially new level,” Kolokoltsev, who is currently on an official visit in China, said.
The Russian minister noted the high pace of development of Russian-Chinese relations. “The contacts between the leaderships of our countries are intensive and show that the policy of strategic partnership is correct and well-balanced,” Kolokoltsev said.
He noted that the Russian Interior Ministry had supported a memorandum on co-operation in security, law and order and justice between the Russian Security Council and the political and legal committee of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
