NOVOSIBIRSK, December 15, 22:18 /ITAR-TASS/. A passenger plane was forced to make an emergency landing at the airport of Novosibirsk, a city in Russian Siberia, because of an air hooligan, spokesman for air traffic management of the Siberian Federal District Timor Kurbangaleyev told Tass.
“A drunken man born in 1968 was detained. A Boeing 737 with 115 passengers on board was on its way from Krasnoyarsk to Moscow,” he said. “The conflict flared up when the passenger was not allowed to go to a business class lavatory. As a result, the air hooligan hit a flight attendant several times,” the spokesman said.
He said the flight attendant had been brought to one of the Novosibirsk clinics with brain concussion and bruises. The air hooligan is in a police precinct,” Kurbangaleyev said.
Spokeswoman Novosibirsk’s Tolmachevo airport Irina Shavshina said the plane landed at Novosibirsk at 20:40 local time (17:40 Moscow time), refueled and took off for Moscow at 22:21 local time (19:21 Moscow time).
