Strong wind leaves over 33,000 residents in Leningrad Region without electricity

ST PETERSBURG, December 13. /ITAR-TASS/. A strong wind raging in Leningrad Region has brought about rolling power cuts in three districts — Kingisepp, Luga, and Lomonosov.

As of 11:00, Moscow time, on Friday, 252 populated areas with 33, 200 people living there remained without electricity, an official at the Russian Ministry for Emergencies (RME) center for Leningrad Region told Itar-Tass. Damage control operations are involving 38 teams — 190 repairmen and 40 units of machinery.
