YEKATERIBNURG, December 13, 11:14 /ITAR-TASS/. A passenger airliner of UTair air carrier on Friday made a forced landing at Surgut airport as the aircraft compass system failure alarm went off, the press service of the transport police department of the Urals Federal District told Itar-Tass.“There were 52 passengers and five crewmembers on board. Nobody was hurt,” the press service said. The passengers are now staying at the airport waiting room. The airline technicians are dealing with the plane’s problem.
It has been the fifth forced landing of passenger planes in the Urals over the week. On December 6, a Bombardier CRJ-200 of UTair airline that was performing a flight from Moscow to Tyumen, made an emergency landing at Kolnsovo airport. On December 7, a Bombardier CRJ-200 plane of the RusLine air carrier also made a forced landing at Koltsovo airport in Yekaterinburg - five minutes after takeoff the crew detected a navigation sensor failure. On December 9, a Bombardier CRJ-200 plane of UTair airline made a forced landing as the left engine failure alarm went off. On Thursday, a passenger plane Airbus A319 of the Rossiya airline made a forced landing at Koltsovo airport because a ‘door ajar’ alarm in the baggage section went off. Nobody was hurt.
