Moscow rapper detained on suspicion of involvement in robbery

MOSCOW, December 12. /ITAR-TASS/. Moscow criminal police have detained rapper Roman Chumakov, alias Roma Zhigan, on suspicion of involvement in robbery, the city police press service told Itar-Tass on Thursday.

"A 29-year-old Muscovite known as Roma Zhigan has been detained on suspicion of robbery committed in June," a police official said adding that investigators were questioning the suspect.

Chumakov has a criminal conviction for robbery, police said. His imprisonment impacted the theme of his songs.
