TEHRAN, December 11. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia and Iran have agreed to speed up the resumption of work of the intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said after talks with his Iranian Mohammad Javad Zarif on Wednesday.
The co-chairs of the commission had already been chosen, he said.
“We consider it important for them to meet as soon as possible and to discuss the dates and agenda of a full-fledged meeting of the intergovernmental commission that should define medium-term and long-term tasks for cooperation,” Lavrov said.
