MOSCOW, December 10. /ITAR-TASS/. A Russian airbase with one regiment of fighters will be deployed in Belarus in 2014, Russian Defense Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu told Russian Supreme Commander-in-Chief and President Vladimir Putin at an enlarged meeting of the Russian Defense Ministry’s board here on Tuesday.
A formation of Russian fighters was put on combat duty at the airfield Baranovichi in Belarus, the minister said. “In the next year a Russian airbase with a regiment of fighters will be deployed in Belarus,” Shoigu added.
