UGLEGORSK, December 09. /ITAR-TASS/. The full-time chief of the Vostochny cosmodrome that is currently under construction near Uglegorsk, Amur Oblast, will be appointed in the first quarter of 2014, head of the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roskosmos) Oleg Ostapenko told reporters after a meeting at Uglegorsk on Monday.“But it’s at the latest, I think that we will do this much earlier, the candidature selection is already in progress,” Ostapenko said.
This appointment had been proposed by the Roskosmos chief for tighter control over the construction work.
