MOSCOW, December 09. /ITAR-TASS/. About 3.5-3.6 million illegal migrants are staying in Russia now, head of the federal migration service Konstantin Romadanovsky said on Monday.
“About 8.5 million people enjoying visa-free regimes are in the Russian territory now. Illegal migrants, coming mostly from the CIS countries, have entered Russia legally but violated the term of the visit. We estimate, in the Russian territory there are 3.5-3.6 million foreign citizens - those who have exceeded the legal term for staying in the country.”
“Quite often, migrants violate the conditions on intention as they realize the lack of economic future in their countries.”
Romadanovsky said “51% of the people for who entrance to the Russian Federation in closed are young people between 17 and 29.”
Every day, the automatic system closes entrance for about 3,000 illegal migrants. Presently, 410,000 people do not have a right to enter Russia.
