CHELYABINSK, December 05. /ITAR-TASS/. The airliner Sukhoi SuperJet 100 (SSJ-100) en route from Magnitorogsk to Moscow has made an emergency landing in the city of Chelyabinsk, Ural region, because after the takeoff the crew failed to retract the port landing gear, the Aeroflot press service reported on Thursday.
The air carrier reported that SuperJet was on flight SU1429 from Magnitorogsk to Moscow (the airport Sheremetyevo). “The Chelyabinsk airport was chosen for landing, as four Airport passenger flights should be made daily from Moscow,” the air company said. “The airliner was carrying 48 passengers. All of them were accommodated at the waiting room and will be brought to Moscow at 11:55 Moscow time by the Chelyabinsk-Moscow SU1421 flight,” Aeroflot said.
The air company added that Aeroflot is inquiring in the incident. The situation when the landing gear is not retracted in the takeoff is taken as harder flight conditions and permits to make a landing in the conditions close to the standard ones.
The airliner SuperJet has made an emergency landing at about 07:00 Moscow time (03:00 GMT) on Thursday in the city of Chelyabinsk.
