About 1,000 people evacuated from shopping mall in Moscow over bomb threat

MOSCOW, December 04. /ITAR-TASS/. The police have evacuated about 1,000 people from the trading and entertainment center Vavilon in north-eastern Moscow after an unnamed bomb threat call, the Moscow law enforcement agencies told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.

“The unidentified caller told the police alert force about a bomb planted at the trading and entertainment center Vavilon, which is situated in Dekabristy Street. The police that arrived at the incident site have evacuated 800 employees of the centre and 200 visitors from the building,” a source in the Moscow law enforcement agencies said.

The police dog handlers with sniffer dogs trained to find the explosives launch the search at the shopping center. At the same time the police are carrying out an operation to detain the unnamed telephone terrorist.
