Russia and Singapore prepare agreement to abolish visa for diplomats

MOSCOW, December 03. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia, Singapore have been preparing an agreement that will cancel visas for owners of diplomatic and service passports, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a meeting of the Council of heads of territories of the Russian Federation on Tuesday.

"The Russian Foreign Ministry will continue work with the countries of the Asian-Pacific region for purposes of facilitating visa regimes. An inter- governmental agreement on mutual facilitating of the visa issuance procedure signed with Japan came into force on October; in November, Russia signed an agreement that canceled visa formalities with South Korea," Lavrov said.
