Investigative Committee backs companies’ criminal responsibility for drug crimes

MOSCOW, December 02. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s Investigative Committee suggests introducing criminal responsibility for companies for illegal turnover of drugs, the authority’s deputy head Alexander Fedorov told a roundtable discussion at the State Duma on Monday.

“We believe it reasonable to attract attention to the initiative from the Investigative Committee on responsibility for companies for violation of legal turnover of drug substances and for their illegal turnover,” Fedorov said.

He said the experience of foreign countries had proven the measure as very effective.
