MOSCOW, December 01, 17:31 /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s ruling United Russia party has become the biggest political force in the country despite the fact that it is not supported by all of the country’s citizens, Prime Minister and United Russia leader Dmitry Medvedev said on Sunday.
At a meeting with activists of the party’s Moscow city branch on Sunday, Medvedev congratulated his fellow party members on the party’s 12th anniversary. “This is not a milestone anniversary, but bearing in mind that the history of Russia’s statehood in not very long, this is a considerable period,” he said. “I think that over these years, the party has become the biggest political force. People may like it or not, but in any case, the party reflects the interests and the will of very many people.
