MOSCOW, November 28. /ITAR-TASS/. An attempt at robbery was committed against the cash collectors in north-western Moscow, the criminals burnt down the car and escaped, a source in the Moscow law enforcement agencies told Itar-Tass on Thursday.
“Unidentified criminals were shooting at about 21:00 Moscow time on Wednesday at an armored car, which is designed for currency shipment, when the armored vehicle was driving out from the transportation enterprise in Tushinsky bystreet. The driver of the cash collectors did not stop, drove the car beyond the fire range and drove away from the attack site,” the source said.
He noted that no one was injured in the shootout. The robbers have burnt their Chevrolet car at the spot and escaped.
Meanwhile, the press service of the Moscow police confirmed the attack case, noting that the assault was committed on officers of a private security agency. “The detectives did not find yet whether the armored car was carrying the money. The police officers have confiscated the records of the video monitoring cameras at the spot, hoping to identify the criminals,” the police source said.
